'Kinder' is a project concerning landscape and memory - retreading a personal 'Memory Map' 50 years later. The route initially follows the steps of the Mass Trespass in 1932 onto Ashop Head, then continues onto the Kinder plateau where it is now widely accepted the trespassers did not venture. This is not to deny the symbolic nature of the event in history - the severity of the prison sentences that followed certainly achieved that.
